Forgive my lack of posts, but my companion of sixteen years, my cat Ernie, died suddenly on April 1st, which left me with little desire to write. It was something I knew would likely happen sooner than later, but that didn’t make it any easier when the time came. She was eating well and interacting well with me up until the very end, for which I’m grateful. I had her the longest of any of the pets I’ve had over the years and I’ll miss her as much as I miss my parents.
